He is an experienced leader, manager, and educator with over 30 years of nursing experience. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Arkansas State University. Prior to this role, he served as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where he worked for several years after returning to the state.
Following his retirement from the military, he served as the Nursing Director of Critical Care at Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham, Maryland, for about two years. Twenty-eight years of his nursing career were spent on active duty in the Army Nurse Corps.
Throughout his career, he has held traditional nurse executive leadership positions in critical care, as a CNO, and as a Service/Department Chief. He also brings a wide range of expertise in areas such as Veteran Affairs Liaison, Telehealth, Inspector General duties, Healthcare Recruiting, and both inpatient and outpatient care settings. His background includes extensive experience in training, education, and healthcare security.
